Ginger walked herself up the aisle and carried a handkerchief and jewelry given to her by her father, who passed away over twenty years ago. The ceremony took place in the afternoon on a beautifully sunny day (not what Seattle is known for!) and was incredibly personal for the couple, with guests coming long distances, many of whom they had not seen in years. With its beautiful view of the city and classic elegance, it was the perfect location." The couple are each both from California, but are now based further up the West coast in Seattle, and it was important that they share the best of their hometown with their guests so they chose the beautiful Admiral’s House with its luscious gardens as the perfect place to make their vows and celebrate " We knew we wanted an iconic location in Seattle, both as a destination for our out of town guests and someplace memorable as part of our wedding story. After getting lost while trying to find the proposal location agreed upon with the photographer (the photographer texted me during the walk to give directions), I led Ginger to the top of a rock with the city skyline in the background, and surprised her with the proposal. Prior to the trip, I (Michael) had bought an engagement ring and hired a photographer to secretly follow us and take photos while we walked through Central Park. During the weekend that would mark our one-year anniversary of first meeting, we decided to take a trip to New York City. We knew it was love! Michael told us the tale of how he proposed. After the first few dates, we spent every free moment together. Our first meeting was over a glass of wine, and we had a second date setup before the evening was over. We, like many couples these days, met via an online dating app. This is a real wedding with AMAZING style, captured by Katie Parra. The couple were married by the waterfront in Seattle, making their vows in a picture perfect garden ceremony followed by a celebration in a marquee where every single detail was incredible. From the names of the couple Ginger and Michael, you are instantly transported to a place of old school romance and glamour. If, like me, you're a fan of Hollywood's Golden age, classic romance and elegance with a dose of glamour, then like me, you'll adore today's beautiful real wedding. ![]()
